Synthetic program:
Il corso ha lo scopo di condurre gli studenti al progetto logico dei sistemi digitali, introducendone problemi e metodologie risolutive. A questo fine, si affrontera' il problema della sintesi logica e della sua ottimizzazione, partendo dai sistemi piu' semplici - quelli combinatori - per passare ai piu' complessi sistemi sequenziali, definendo le cifre di merito rispetto alle quali si valuta l'ottimalita' della sintesi e le tecniche su cui si basano gli strumenti di progettazione automatica. Considerando infine la fase di prototipazione e/o di implementazione di sistemi digitali, si prenderanno in considerazione le problematiche relative all'uso di dispositivi in logica programmabile (FPGA).
